We provide information, resources, and community referrals to people with epilepsy and their families.
One-to-One Support
Addresses individual, couple, and family needs and concerns in a confidential and supportive environment. This service is available by phone, email, or in-person office visits. Please contact our office to schedule an appointment.
Counselling and Advocacy
Our Client Services Coordinator can provide support, counselling and can advocate for people affected by Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders. These services are available by phone, email, or in-person office visits. Please contact our office to schedule an appointment.
Group Support
Our support group sessions are now running the last Wednesday of every month. They are open to anyone affected by epilepsy. Location: Online – via Zoom to register contact, admin@epilepsyresource.org.
Transportation Services
Our transportation service, Emily’s Fund, was created in partnership with her family to honour Emily McNamee’s legacy.
Emily’s Fund serves to assist people in our catchment area with travel to medical appointments, other required services, and to any services provided by Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario. Transportation needs outside of Kingston are determined on a case-by-case basis. Rides are provided through a partnership with Amey’s Taxi.
If you are in need of transportation to a medical appointment or any of our services, please contact our office at 613-542-6222 or admin@epilepsyresource.org. We ask that you please give 24-48 hours’ notice before an appointment.
Free Resources
Brochures, pamphlets and facts sheets are available for those seeking information to take home. A seizure journal is also available to print from our website.
Community Displays
Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario provides staffed displays to help spread awareness and understanding of epilepsy. To have a community display offered in your school, business, or at an event, please contact us.
Epilepsy Clinic
Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario (ESEO) is proud to partner with KHSC Kingston Health Science Centre adult and pediatric district epilepsy clinics. These clinics provide an immediate point of contact to connect clients with ESEO after meeting with their epileptologist. Patients can be seen by our Client Services Coordinator to receive support, resources, advocacy, and referrals as needed.
