EVENT INFORMATION

With goals of raising funds and awareness, Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario is excited to host our fourth annual Fire Truck Pull, Pull Together for Epilepsy! All profits from the event will be used for support, education and awareness for over 3,000 people affected by epilepsy in South Eastern Ontario.

 

Teams of eight will compete in the following categories:

  1. The Overall Event Winner: combination of best pull time and most funds raised.
  2. The Fastest Pull
  3. The Most Money Raised
  4. The Best Team Spirit
 

Date: Sunday, July 17th, 2016
Time: 11:30am - 3:00pm
Registration: 11:30am - 12:45pm
Location: Confederation Park, in front of Kingston City Hall (216 Ontario St)

Competition starts at 1pm

TEAM REQUIREMENTS

Please note that your team must fulfil the requirements below in order to participate in this year's Fire Truck Pull:

  1. Maximum of 8 participants per team.
  2. Each participant must be 13+ years of age.
  3. On average, each member should raise approximately $100 to reach the suggested team entry goal of $800.
  4. Each team MUST have a team name and spirited theme!
  5. Each participant must fill out a waiver form (which can be found inside the registration form).
  6. Each participant must bring their strength and energy the day of... to pull the Fire Truck, of course!

Online pledges

If you would like to register your team for online pledging, please follow the instructions below. Note that only one person needs to do this for the team:

 

If you have filled in all the information correctly, it should show up in the list of teams below!

  1. Download the registration form and fill in all required fields
  2. Once the registration form is complete, please send the form to Matthew Meagher at events@epilepsyresource.org
  3. Register an account with Canada Helps

  4. Create a fundraising page for Fire Truck Pull by clicking on this Fundraising Link.
    Fill in the information accordingly. For step by step instructions, click here.
     
    1. Under the dropdown menu "Agency - non-specific donation", select "Pull Together Fire Truck Pull 2015".

    2. For "Select the type of fundraiser", you can leave blank.
       
    3. For the title of your fundraiser, type in your team name, followed by " - Pull Together 2015".

    4. For the fundraising starting period, enter today's date: .
       
    5. For the fundraising ending period, enter July 31, 2016.
       
    6. For the goal amount, enter the team's fundraising goal (Suggested team goal is $800).
       
    7. For entering the name of the page owner, you can either enter the team leader's name or the team name.
       
    8. If you would like your donations to be visible to the public, leave that option checked.
       
    9. In the fundraising story section, enter a description of your team, why you decided you participate in this year's Fire Truck Pull, a list of your team members, and anything else that you would like donors to know!
       
    10. Once you have filled in all your team's information, click on Create a Fundraising Page.
       
    11. In the next page, you can choose to upload a logo or image representing your team. You can choose to skip this step if you do not have an image yet.
       

  5. Once your team has created their team page, copy your team page's website URL (example image) and paste it below:

KINGSTON FRONTENACS SIGNED PUCKS

We are excited to announce that the Kingston Frontenacs and their mascot, Barrack, will be attending our fourth annual Fire Truck Pull, Pull Togther for Epilepsy!

They will also be selling SIGNED pucks to support our communty members affected by epilepsy.

If you are a Kingston Frontenacs fan, you know exactly where to be!
