Epilepsy Awareness Month

March is Epilepsy Awareness Month in Canada. It’s a great time for anyone with an interest in epilepsy to raise awareness, challenge myths, and help dismantle the stigma of epilepsy.

Purple Day

Purple Day for Epilepsy was founded in 2008 by nine year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia. Each year, on March 26, people from around the world wear purple in support of epilepsy.

Fire Truck Pull

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and volunteered for our 7th annual Fire Truck Pull fundraiser. It was a fantastic event! Over $11,000 was raised. We hope to see you again next summer at Fire Truck Pull 2022!

Bingo

Through a partnership with OLG Today and Community Spirit Gaming Centre we are able to promote epilepsy awareness in our community, as well as receive a portion of the monthly bingo proceeds. To receive this portion, Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario must have two trained volunteers attend each scheduled 2-hour session. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to attend these sessions and help raise awareness for epilepsy!

Virtual Walk for Epilepsy

Join us this August as we work together to raise awareness and funds for Epilepsy South Eastern Ontario! Throughout the month of August, everyone involved is asked to set a goal, either a step goal or a financial goal, and ask others to help support their efforts.
